Geographically redundant hosting is a platform that allows your Websites to be hosted on multiple locations at the same time. If one server is affected by hardware failure, a power outage or even a natural disaster, its function can be taken over by a server in another location thereby guaranteeing the most reliable Web hosting possible.

3. How exactly does the Geo Redundant Platform work?

To completely remove a single point of failure, each shared hosting account is in a cluster made up of at least two servers that are as much as 1,000 miles from each other. One of the servers is designated as the primary server for a given account and will be responsible for serving all requests. ACW's proprietary software continuously mirrors web content and MS SQL Server data to the other server(s) in the cluster. In the event that the primary fails, the DNS will be changed to direct traffic to the standby server. This unique system provides the most reliable shared Web hosting platform for the money.

4. Can you explain your True 99.9% Uptime Guarantee?

Most hosts offer an uptime guarantee but only for the network and server. And even then, the down time is not cumulative. In sharp contrast we offer it for the network, the server and your individual website! We are so confident in our reliable Web hosting service that if your site is ever unavailable for more than a cumulative 45 minutes for a given month you can request a credit of 10% of your monthly hosting charges for that Website per additional hour (up to 100% of the monthly charges). This credit will be reflected on your next month's bill.

5. How does the 30 day money back guarantee work?

Simply, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with our service just let us know and we will refund your full payment for hosting.

Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds on SSL Certificates or Domain Names because you will in fact still own them and they are issued by 3rd parties. You can, however, transfer them to any other host. We also reserve the right to refuse a refund if your account has been terminated due to a TOS/AUP violation, such as hosting questionable material or spamming.

6. Where are your servers located?

All our new servers are in data-centers in California, Texas and Virginia owned by Peer1. With the standard Geo Redundant Hosting configuration, a copy of your web site will be in two of the three locations at any given time, guaranteeing you a reliable Web hosting service.

7. What kind of servers do you use?

Because we guarantee the reliability of our professional Web hosting service, we maintain a variety of servers, but all newly commissioned servers are at least Pentium® 4 Dell servers with 1GB of RAM or more. However, to ensure reliability, we aim to keep their resources at 50 to 60% regardless of the server configuration.

9. How is bandwidth and disk space measured?

Each shared hosting account is purchased with a specific amount of hard disk space and bandwidth which is shared among the email, FTP, sync process and web hosting services.

10. What happens if I go over my bandwidth or disk space?

Your site will continue to function even if it goes over the resources allotted. As a courtesy we will attempt to contact you via email if we feel that you will go over your limits. However, you should not rely on such email and keep an eye on your resources, which are all found in the customer area.

Any overage charges will be charged on the next billing cycle at twice the pre-paid rates.

11. Do you allow adult sites?

Adult sites are not allowed on any of our servers.

12. How frequently do you bill my account?

Unlike many hosts, we do not bill in 30 day cycles. We bill on the first of every month for the full upcoming month regardless of the number of days in the month. So there is no need for you to try to figure out when your next bill will be - it is always on the first.

14. Why do I see two different amounts when placing an order?

We bill all existing accounts on the 1st of every month. In order do get your account in sync with our billing cycle we prorate the first payment.
